Rackspace (NYSE: RAX), the cloud services provider, now has 7,000 channel partners. But Rackspace isn’t resting on its cloud partner program laurels. The company is taking steps to deliver programmatic, vertical market and transformational enhancements to partners, according to Channel Chief Christopher Rajiah.

Cloud database specialist Xeround announced the availability of its database-as-a-service (DbaaS) for MySQL applications on the AppHarbor .NET platform and AppFog’s PHP Fog PHP platform, providing developers, according to the press release, with a “zero-management, highly available and scalable cloud database solution in just one click.”

Dell Services (NASDAQ: DELL) announced the first two offers in its newly launched Dell Cloud suite for SAP Solutions. Dell is targeting customers looking to move their SAP infrastructure by offering a set of SAP-certified cloud services in secure hybrid, public or private clouds. The Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) has named T-Systems, the customer arm of Deutsche Telekom that operates information and communication technology systems for corporations and government institutions worldwide, to its steering committee. According to the ODCA, T-Systems’ membership on the steering committee will help it assess and leverage new cloud technologies in meeting its customers’ needs. Corporate membership in the ODCA’s top committee now stands at 13.
